Root Canal Treatment is a procedure that treats infection at the centre of a tooth and is essential to alleviate the pain associated with a heavily decayed or damaged tooth.

It involves a deep clean within the tooth root to eliminate any bacteria and can development of an infection leading to further medical complications.

We take pride in our ability to help put our patients at ease and alleviate patient anxiety and have the training and experience to minimise any pain or discomfort you may feel during the procedure.

After treatment is complete, our dentist will provide you with a crown or onlay which will protect the tooth from further decay and infection and strengthen it, as well as blend in with your other teeth. If you are experiencing pain after a Root Canal, please contact our practice for evaluation. The sooner we can examine the root, the easier it is for us to save the tooth.

Endodontics

Root Canal Therapy is the most common procedure performed by an Endodontist, but they also perform an Apicoectomy if an infection returns.

Root Canal Therapy involves a deep clean within the tooth root to eliminate any bacteria. If a secondary infection is more advanced, the Endodontist will perform an Apicoectomy to save the Tooth from Extraction.

The infection around the root is cleaned, and tip is sliced off the root to prevent infection from returning. The tooth is then sealed.

If you are experiencing pain after a Root Canal, please contact our practice for evaluation. The sooner we can examine the root, the easier it is for us to save the tooth.
